Progress: 100 point scoring
What was wrong: EOS contact in the score reel wasnt properly opening, preventing the 100 score relay from opening once triggered or manually depressed. This issue would not be present once machine was closed meaning it was not a mechanical issue.
What was done: bent the part meant to depress the EOS contact back into place, seems functional now but unsure about durability
I tried:
-
cleaning the jones plug next to the indicator disk.
-
manually manipulating the gear/ latch mechanism in the indicator disk
-
filing the switches on the tracking control relay.
One of these actions (im guessing 2) caused the 100s scoring to get out of sync. The top rollovers register 300 when the ball enters play instead of 500.
Also, spinning the hands on the clock activates the state tracking control relay, but is no longer activating the score motor.
I suspect manual manipulation of the indicator disk was a mistake.
Status set to Broken to match an open Unplayable report (automated cleanup)
Relays do not seem to always work in proper order on clock changes after the first ball relay has been triggered. They don’t move. Here is slow motion video of proper movement
No particular rollover seems to be involved as far as I can tell
It would appear 5 of the 10 rollovers are associated with the problem. I marked them with blue tape
