Sensor cannot tell when a ball is there. A spacer in this 3/8 inch hole, currently just an acorn nut, works.
11 bumper needs adjustment
10 bumper lights on machine start. This may be a low voltage problem or perhaps a bad solder joint
Many back glass lights out including 7 and right ship
10 bumper has a bad socket. The rest just needed tightening
The bell is not sounding and numeric scores are not advancing or lighting up. Bumper score lights work.
Problems with playfield lighting. 5 and 12 bumpers do not light on game reset. 10 bumper dim. 7 bumper loose and 10 is out
Fix "super special when lit”. This is currently blocked with a printed disc. See log entry,
Matt smelled smoke and turned off the machine. Turned out the “super special when lit” hole had thrown its plunger all the way to the surface. When a ball fell in the hole, the coil locked on and heated up, burning the coil wrapper and singing the wood.
The coil wrapper was not paper; other coils look like they’re covered with some synthetic leather like Fabrikoid. The coil color is no longer discernible, but the most similar coil in the machine is green. Coil is approximately 0.85" in diameter and 1.25" long. End with lugs is 1" x 1.2".
Apparently due to the heat, the switch disabled itself; I can’t find the end that contacted the ball. For now I removed the plunger and printed a disc, 0.5" x 1.1", to fill the hole.
While I was in there, I fixed a couple of the bumper relays. The one marked “1-4” was missing a spring, and a couple more were out of place. To test, manually reset the whole bank. Scoring still isn’t right, though; this machine could use a thorough overhaul.
Looks like Oliver replaced it successfully
