Routine: Check/replace lights
Routine: Clean the playfield
Jiggled yellow stoplight molex connector and now the whole stoplight is lit up. Just the burn rubber lamp is out.
Replaced bulb and this light is now working
Haven’t observed this lately, maybe it was another game being worked on. Will monitor. Closing for now.
The bracket that held the autofire plunger solenoid was too far over to the right causing the flipper switch to get caught. I moved the bracket over as far left as it could go, now the plunger is more centered and the issue is gone.
Playfield cleaned. New elastics desperately need changing (lol).
Reproduced the problem, which was basically the launch plunger was pre-extended and giving weak launches. It seemed associated with weak right flippers. Raised the playfield, inspected right flipper button switches, lowered it for another look, and the problem was gone.
This one may arise again.
This Pinside thread talks about this particular issue

Its possible that the right flipper button is aftermarket and pushes further than the stock one would?
Easiest way to reproduce problem is to hold down right flipper button while firing the ball with shifter.
