Description
- There’s something wrong in the swamp. I should go through all the switches there, and perhaps more generally.
- God, it’s nice having something with decent built-in diagnostics. One of the swamp switches was erratic. But poking it was enough to get things working again. Was it a bit stuck? Was there some junk wedged there? Hard to know.
- I had also noticed a problem with detecting the ball waiting to be launched. That was a bit trickier. It turns out the plunger was sitting just a shade too far forward. The external spring was weird and janky. I tried taking it all apart, but one of the screws is stuck. The external spring was in two parts, and I tried separating them. They mashed back together pretty quickly. I tried a bit of tape, but that made the ball not launch or launch weekly. So I took the tape off and everything is somehow fine?
- Long term, I should get at least the screw and maybe a whole new assembly, complete with spring.
