Rotated wheel by hand, added second ball that was sitting in cabinet. Note: ball start is its own pushrod. Game seems OK
Status changed: Good → Broken
Constant buzzing. Can’t start a game.
Also replaced the fuse for the play field lights.
Status changed: Broken → Good
After much deliberation, progress was made today! A simple fix of bending the brake switch on the score motor to help the motor wheel slow instead of continuously spinning did the trick.
Now it’s back in action!
Problem: A Relay was supposed to have 6 make or break switches, but the bottom switch wasn’t making and braking.
Solve: Readjusted so it makes & breaks.
No noticable change to original Score Motor problem.
- Problem: S/Q Latch Relay was “sticky”, wouldn’t fully release every time. Seemed like too much overlap between the latches.
Solve: Readjusted the S latch so it had less distance to travel. Additionally, some of the switches in that switch stack seemed to need readjustment to make them properly normally open/closed
So if there’s still issues with the S relay, could need some fine tuning. But overall it seemed to be firing much more reliably.
- Problem: Motor won’t land in phase/Replay button won’t do anything when out of phase.
Partial solve: Switch stack 1C had a switch that had to be adjusted prior because it was always closed, but should be normally open. So, in thinking we moved it too far open we readjusted the switch gap. That improved movement!
Partial Solve: Looking at Switch stack 3B it wasn’t doing anything. The switches had been bent so far away from the motor it never even hit the pole it should have to close it. So we bent that back so it would function as a switch. No noticable change.
After these changes it seems the problem has changed!
The replay button now sometimes works more often than not!! But when won’t it work?
New Problem: The replay button mostly works. It mostly will not work when the A Relay is engaged (which seemed to happen at specific point intervals). When the A Relay is disengaged it will run the replay sequence.
I say mostly because every so often the theory won’t hold. But we now suspect it has something to do with the A Relay.
Coin door lock cam was installed 90⁰ off, so it was normally open. Loosened cam, turned to correct orientation, tightened. Machine now locks properly.
