Work

Wiring of this machine had been patched in very strange ways. I began tracing the power. The plugs inside are likely artifacts of someone wanting the equivalent of a switch and/ or internal outlet

Open Problem: Replace power cord
Work

Cleaned up components , chased threads with tap and die, and found a washer that fits. Replaced cotter pins.

We still need to find a tip that fits. Standard tips do not.

Open Problem: Plunger components are sticky Edit: Plunger doesn't feel sticky anymore, but missing the tip--needs a non-standard tip size.

Cut off old cord, partially wired new one in, but we need to check that we have the hot side going to the fuse

Removed and partially disassembled plunger. I am not sure what kind of tip it originally had screwed on. After a bit of cleaning it feels better
