Summary:
Numerous small issues contributing to various problems.
The solenoid was receiving power. Wiring between terminals was very close. This machine has no fuses so it’s possible an arc was causing intermittent shorts. I repositioned the fork terminals and wiring to provide a safer “air-gap”.
Additionally the screw securing the solenoid was loose. Over time the position moved and the solenoid plunger was not contacting the plate with adequate force for reliable operation. The solenoid was realigned and securely fastened.
Furthermore I believe the missing screws allowed the sub-field to shift out of alignment. As a result, an actuator arm that should engage the ball release was hitting off center. After realigning the field the coin slot mechanism now operates correctly, releasing the balls to start a new game.
Realigning the sub-field also restored alignment of tilt plunger and the lever that positions the platform. The tilt mechanism once again functions as intended
Next Steps:
The coin slot need to be set to “Free Play”.

*Optional: It may be a good idea to install an inline fuse near the transformer on the primary side. This would protect the machine from faults and provide an extra level of safety.
NOTE
I came across several “extra parts”. I have no idea where they belong considering everything is working. There is also a lever near the coin slot that doesn’t do anything. Looks like it would be connected to a spring, idk. I could not figure out it’s purpose.
